Fourth of July Parades on Cape Cod *

Festively decorated floats, marching bands, clowns, illuminated boats and dogs dressed as Uncle Sam are just some of the sights you may see at these patriotic parades across Cape Cod on July 4th.

BARNSTABLE VILLAGE: A 1.2 mile parade of decorated cars, floats, police and fire vehicles will leave the Barnstable County Courthouse Complex parking lot at 9 a.m. and travel east on Route 6A, turn left on Millway then right on Commerce Road back to Route 6A, right on Route 6A through the village to turn left on Parker Road, continue on to Church Street, turn right on Route 149, right on Route 6A and returning to the county parking lot. More info>

CHATHAM: One of the oldest Independence Day parades in the country! The 2024 theme is “Timeless Chatham: It's A Shore Thing.“ The procession starts at 9:30 along Main Street, Chatham.  More info>

CENTERVILLE:  Parade starts at 10:30 a.m. at Centerville Elementary School with a flag-raising and Pledge of Allegiance. The parade will go along Bumps River Road, Park Avenue and Main Street to the Centerville Recreation Center. More info>

COTUIT: The parade begins at 11 a.m. on School in front of the post office, then turns left on Main Street and continues down Main Street to the former Cotuit Elementary School. More info>

HYANNIS HARBOR BOAT PARADE: Starting at 5 p.m. the traditional Hyannis Marina Boat Parade will take place in Hyannis Harbor. A procession of boats decked out in a sea of red, white, and blue will wind their way around the inner harbor! More info>

HYANNIS PORT MINI-MARATHON & PARADE: The traditional fun run starts at the Post Office at 9 a.m., followed by the parade at 11 a.m. Route begins at the Hyannis Port Post Office on Longwood Avenue, turns left onto Washington Avenue, turns right onto Lafayette Avenue, left onto Winchester Avenue, left onto Scudder Avenue and then continues onto Dale Avenue to the West Beach Club. More info>

ORLEANS: The July 4th Parade showcases the pride of the Orleans community and is full of music, celebration, and fun!  The parade will kick off from Eldredge Parkway at 10 a.m. Procession will travel toward the lights at West Rd, then turn right onto Route 6A. Travels along Route 6A to the intersection of Route 6A and Main St, where it turns right. It then travels along Main St to the intersection of Route 28, where it then turns right. The parade then marches down Route 28, through the intersection of Tonset Road, turning right onto Daley's Terrace. It then loops around onto Marstons Way, crosses Eldredge Parkway, and ends in the parking lot at Nauset Regional Middle School.  More info>

PROVINCETOWN:  The festive and colorful July 4th parade kicks off at 11 a.m. down Commercial Street . More info>

SANDWICH: The 4th of July "Spirit of Sandwich" parade starts at 10:30 a.m. from the Henry T. Wing School  on Water Street in Sandwich. Procession winds through downtown Sandwich via Main Street and Beale Avenue, and ending on Morse Road. After the parade, the Henry T. Wing School will be the site of a midday family picnic. More info>

WELLFLEET HOMETOWN HOLIDAY PARADE: The nostalgic classic car parade begins at 9:30 a.m. and the float parade starts at 10 a.m. The route begins at the Town Pier, runs up Holbrook Avenue, turns right on Main Street, continues down Main Street, turns right on East Commercial Street, and ends where is began at the pier. More info>
